Introducing “A Breach Repairer’s Song” – A New Podcast That Dives Into the Intersection of Music and Social Justice
Today we’re launching our new podcast, “A Breach Repairer’s Song.”
Hosted by Yara Allen and Bishop William J. Barber II, “A Breach Repairer’s Song” is an immersive series featuring some of the most influential voices of our time who soundtrack the marriage between music as an art form and music as a tool for activism.

“The songs we will break down help keep us steady as we do the work of educating, building community, resisting, and creating. We are excited to share with you songs and conversations that we hope will inspire you in the spaces that you hold,” shared Yara Allen, Director of Theomusicology and Cultural Arts at Repairers of the Breach and co-host.
Each episode will connect listeners with stories of struggle, hope, and solidarity, blending powerful voices with music that has shaped social movements.
Season one’s guests will include well-known voices like Joan Baez, Dr. Cornel West, Terrance Blanchard and Dr. Ibram X. Kendi.
