Moral Monday DC — July 6: They Expected Us to Fade. We’re Still Here.

On Monday, July 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM, we take our place in the public square once again — in front of the White House at Black Lives Matter Plaza, 16th Street NW. This is Moral Monday DC, and we come to build a public pulpit and a prophetic witness that the whole nation can see.

The lies are exposed. We must keep telling the truth.

We stand on four demands, and we will not soften them:

  • Stop the war.
  • Stop the attacks on voting rights.
  • Stop the attacks on the poor.
  • Stop the attacks on our immigrant community.

We will not be moved. We will not be silent. We will be here.

Who is standing with us

The witness is carried by Bishop William J. Barber II (President and Senior Lecturer, Repairers of the Breach), Rev. Dr. Alvin O’Neal Jackson (National Faith Convener), Dr. Hanna Broome (National Director of Religious Affairs), Rev. Stephen Tickner (North Chevy Chase Christian Church), Rev. Doug Horner (United Church of Christ, Cleveland), and Dr. Nicole Douglas (AME Zion Church, Washington, DC) — alongside a coalition of faith and justice partners who have decided that silence is not an option.

How to be part of it

Come. If you’re in the DC region, join us at 5:00 PM. RSVP and find details below.

Carry it. Can’t be there in person? Share this with three people who need to hear it. The witness travels further when you pass it on.

Sustain it. This work runs on the people who believe in it. Give so we can keep showing up — tomorrow, every Monday after, and into the 100 Days of Action launching August 3, 2026.
