We Must Vote Fearlessly!

We met Wilma Liverpool in Durham, North Carolina during our march to North Carolina Central University’s polling site for early voting. Bracing herself on her walker, she made her way inside the law school building to cast her vote. Before leaving the polling site, she leaned over to Bishop Barber and said "I can't walk, but for this, I would crawl." One could only imagine all she must have seen and sacrificed for the right to vote, a right she proudly exercised that day.

With just hours left before the polls close tonight, we must not forget the immense value in our right to vote. Despite decades long attempts at voter suppression and intimidation, we continue to rise. Using our vote, not as support, but as a demand could raise the minimum wage to a living wage, restore reproductive rights, protect voting rights & provide healthcare for all.

In the same spirit as Wilma Liverpool, our plea is that you do whatever you can, to make your voice heard at the polls today. Join us as we vote fearlessly in the face of the interlocking injustice of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, the war economy, and the false moral narrative of Christian nationalism.
